Kid Vid Club CHALLENGE!
This Week's Challenge: THE CHASE SCENE!

Your challenge this week, Mini Movie Makers, is to film and upload a CHASE SCENE. While not every movie calls for a Chase Scene, creating one is a great way to practice your Directing and Editing skills.

Set the Scene!

First, decide on the story and setting. You should definitely include AT LEAST one (1) CHASER and one (1) CHASEE. The rest of the story is up to you. It could be a boy chasing after a girl who stole his popcorn or a dog chasing after a cat. It's up to you.

Film It!

Next, shoot the scene. Make sure that you use CROSS-CUTTING, a technique in which you cut from one character (the Chaser maybe) to the other (the Chasee) to show some interaction. Make sure to end with a resolution - a conclusion.

Edit It!

If you have access to DIGITAL EDITING SOFTWARE, edit your scene. Try to PACE your movie so that the cuts get more frequent (closer together) as you get closer to the ending. If you don't have a computer, you can make these decisions while you're filming.

Upload It!

Post your movie to our WEBSITE using the link "Submit Your Movie" on the right side of the screen.
