SOUND EFFECTS
Ever wonder how they created the ROAR in Jurassic Park's dinosaurs? Obviously, no one has ever heard a dinosaur before because there were no microphones around back then to record them.
Instead of just clacking bones together, Jurassic Park sound engineers recorded the sounds of animals around today. Then they put all those barks, growls, and quacks together onto a computer and assigned each key on an electronic keyboard an animal noise. For example- a High C became a dolphin, a B flat an orangutan, etc. Then they would play the animal symphony. Sometimes it would come out to sound like it was a jailbreak at the zoo, but when played just right they would find the perfect dinosaur vocal.
If you have GarageBand and/or a program like it, maybe you can record animals or other noises of your own and mix them together to create your own monster or just something silly.
